Goby

Gobies will adapt in smaller home aquariums very well.  They are small fish that will sift the sand for organisms, some having suckers underneath their body for stability.  They are mostly peaceable and are very disease tolerant and self-sufficient.  Have plenty of live rock and a thick sandy bottom for burrowing and sifting for food.  Keep single or add mated pairs at the same time.  Most Gobies are notorious for jumping out of an aquarium; make sure all tank lids are secure or you will find one carpet swimming.
