Starfish / Urchin

Starfish or Sea Stars and Brittle Sea Stars have interesting colors and shapes. Starfish and Brittle Sea Stars have five arms that radiate from the main disk. The Sea Stars are covered with resilient skin and sharp, calcareous spines. The base of the spines are called pedicellaria that protect the starfish from predators or algae that might contact the body surface.
